Celebrated educational psychologist Ian Wallace will be presenting talks about the Kindalin Transition Program and how it is implemented in our daily program. Ian will also provide you with valuable knowledge and insight on the difficult decision of sending your child to school.

Starting school is a significant time for children and their families. As part of our Transition to School Program, Kindalin are very pleased to present guest speaker Ian Wallace, Consultant Psychologist who will explore the many questions about a family’s preparation for their child’s transition to school.

 

Topics to be explored include: 

  • The emotional impacts of starting school
  • Is your child ready for the new challenge?
  • Preparing them for the transition

Ian is the Director and Consultant Psychologist at Forestway Psychology Centre in Sydney where he works with families and children through complex parenting issues such as Enhancing learning for kids, Dealing with defiant behaviour, Bullying, Building self esteem, Transitioning boys to men and Responsible parenting.

His informed, yet practical and down to earth suggestions make him a popular speaker to thousands of people each year as well as a regular voice on television and in the print media. Ian co-authored the popular book, Coping with School.
